Our prayer meeting

Last Saturday we had our prayer meeting for the trip. Everybody brought one of their prayer partners with them to pray with them and over our team. It was a wonderful time to have fellowship, meet each-others prayer partners, worship, and pray together. After eating a delicious brunch and getting to know each-other we went into a moment of worship.

Tony and Danielle were our amazing worship Leaders!

We connected to God through worship, gave thanks and praised his name with our words and spirits.
As we sung You'll Come it was such a beautiful representation of how God has been preparing our hearts for the last 10 months. It truly reminded me that God has perfect timing even when we do not understand it. After our trip was moved from December to June, we knew God wanted us to have more preparation for the trip and has revealed so much to us through that time. "I have decided I have resolved to wait upon you Lord. My rock and redeemer shield, and reward I'll wait upon you Lord."
The chorus is such a declaration for us and for the people we will be interacting with in Liberia!
"Chains be broken, Lives be healed, Eyes be open, Christ is revealed."

As we continued to worship we also sung Your Grace Is Enough. The chorus sounds so simple but echo's such a profound statement. "Your grace is enough for me." It reminds us that no-matter what we have done and been through in life God's grace is simply enough. We proclaimed "Great is Your love and justice God of Jacob. You use the weak to lead the strong. You lead us in the song of your salvation. And all your people sing along." Such a humbling stanza reminding us how strong God's love is and that God is our ultimate guide. What a beautiful verse "You lead us in the song of your salvation"!!!!

After worship everybody's prayer partners prayed over them thanking God for his blessings and for provision over our trip. It was so powerful to hear friends, daughters, wives, and Dad's give-up their loved one to God and trust him throughout this journey. There was much prayer for our direction on this trip to trust God's timing and that he has equipped us, for our health and safety, and to rely on God. Also for Liberia and the people that we will be interacting with, for our focus on leadership during the trip, our continued growth with God throughout this trip and that he will continue to reveal himself to us. I just keep thinking God we are your humble servants!

Katie declared Isaiah 61:1-3 over us. "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor." Other's revealed afterwards that they had they same verse on their minds as well. I felt God's glory and grace throughout our meeting and it so wonderfully carried into the rest of my day.

We now officially leave tomorrow!! Our flight is at 7:30 p.m. We would like continued prayer for our hearts that we will be fully prepared and completely in-tune with God throughout this time. Thank you all for your support in prayer and financially. God has truly blessed us to be able to be apart of this trip and with wonderful people in our lives to support us in many ways. For we know that this trip is not about us but serving an almighty God. We are all apart of the body of Christ and none of us could function fully without the other parts of the body. For all of our blessings we are thankful.

God bless,
Amy
